That being said, I try to use Munich whenever I travel to Istanbul or Ankara. It's as far east in Europe that UA's route network will take you (allowing for more sleep time on the overnight transatlantic flight) and MUC is actually pleasant to transit.

Not so much if you transfer to TK,which fly out of a different terminal now,with abysmal service and a realy horible lounge!

For other Star Airlines,MUC is realy nice.
