Problem is the justification to come into the country under VWP.

The activities you're allowed to do under that status are very limited (eg. attend a conference/meeting, etc). Actual work is not allowed. And if she shows up at the border saying she is coming to network and do career development for such a long period, that is very easily perceived by the immigration officer as an attempt to find work (not allowed), or be a student (also not allowed under VWP). The officer will then simply deny entry into the USA, she will be sent back to Switzerland without the right to appeal the decision, and she will need to obtain a visa to enter the USA for the rest of her life.
If she makes it in the 1st time, entering the 2nd time will require an even better story. Again, perception of the situation by the immigration officer is the determining factor and if the story does not add up or meet the requirements of the VWP, you're screwed.
