IIRC even with PIN I don't think it asks for confirmation of the amount, at least at the Asian store with FD100 + FD35s. But it might be different for non-US cards if DCC's enabled.
I'll assume the stomach-over-counter posture from
percysmith and make sure the cashier doesn't blindly press buttons if DCC is an option. I might have to play around
with this to know what to expect.
