I suppose that these examples demonstrate that you can't count on Uber for anything important in Shanghai.
That having been said, most of my rides have gone smoothly... and, it's REALLY hard to get taxis (without didi booking) these days.
One more thing I forgot to mention, again, not sure how this compares to other Chinese cities. This People's Uber is pretty nuts. Everytime I open up the map, I rarely see any UberX or UberBlack. However, within a 2 square kilometer area, there will be at least 100 People's Ubers. And their using that as their main source of work rather than to ride share. With the extremely low fares, I can't understand whats going on here

Maybe sharing isn't in the vocabulary here? :-/
