Did an 1830 arrival on BA269 last month - my first time through LAX. OK, we were amongst the first off the A380 [Upper Deck in J], but the whole thing only took about 10 minutes from entering the Immigration Zone.

Passports only need to be machine-readable (the long strip of >>>>>>MYNAME<<<<<), and the e-machines seemed to be working fine.
