You're right - it is comparable with a TATL flight. Sounds just like my recent EWR-LHR sector. Makes no sense at all to me.

Unlike many, I can sleep on planes - even in Y. But I can't sleep while crew are cheerily serving meals at ungodly hours (whichever timezone you happen to be on).
