This long time EXP has moved on... to whatever airline gives me the best combination of convenience and value. I'll still fly AA when convenient and if the price is right. So I guess I should thank really Doug and Hector for spurring me to expand my domestic travel horizons.
In the past 10 days, I've flown 11 Delta flights (9 mainline and 2 Connection), all in reasonably priced paid First. What a refreshing difference! Happy employee everywhere. PDBs on every flight. Every FA was friendly and helpful, and made frequent drink and snack basket passes thru the cabin. All but one flight was on time or early. The other 20 minutes late but I still made my connection.
SkyClubs? Sure there are some clunkers (like ATL B10). But overall... wow, what an improvement. They actually serve complimentary real food... eggs, pastries, yogurts, cereals for breakfast, soups (two of them), veggies, fresh salads (romaine and chicken) and 4 different kinds of cookies for lunch, dessert pastries in the late PM.
SkyPesos? Don't really care as I'm crediting my DL flights to AF/FlyingBlue.
