He looked quite embarassed as he walked to the end of the line.
Another time in Detroit, a lady was trying to board with first, but she was silver (I know because the GA stated it). She pointed out that she was a 1M flyer and gets to board with first. He very politely said, that she would have to wait, but she scanned her own BP and walked in saying "how rude!". The GA, an older African American gentleman just shook his head and called the rest of us. I was in coach that night. Walking on the flight, I caught up within 15 feet of the lady (no people in between us) to hear her tell the FA in the center part of the plane that the GA was extremely rude to her. The FA looked shocked, but I spoke up and said "No, he was a perfect gentleman. This lady demanded extra attention and was the person that was being rude." OMG, she flipped out, turned to me and said "why are you making this your business?" I stated that I'd hate to see a person reprimanded for the bad behavior of others. We ended up sitting in an aisle right next to each other. It was a little uncomfortable for a bit.
Good for you for correcting the false accusation, so the FA didn't report the GA.
However, I have to add that I don't see how the GA's age and race/ethnicity are relevant to the story.
