Tighter management by DL of these smaller carriers and their staff is probably really called for, though.

And LGA (and JFK, too) are very odd for boarding. The typical NYer seems to behave much like the Brazilians in MCO crowding the boarding area to try to get on early, ignoring all zones and such.
