There is the Hilton Edinburgh airport ( 5min walks from the terminal or courtesy bus which may offer reasonable deals (£60 on Saturday)and handy for more Hilton HHonors points or the Quality Hotel also very near the airport ( courtesy bus).
In Edinburg itself there is the Hilton Grosvenor Hotel ( near Haymarket station).

Near the new scottish parliamnent building and the dynamic Earth ( near Holyrood palace) and Arthurs Seat there is the 4 star Macdonald Holyrood hotel. It is very nice with a swimimg pool/sauna gym and bathrobes in rooms. On a saturday the rates should be reasonable.( I got a special deal with my company for a mid week christmas party stay for £35)
