Completely agree. Our decision to start booking business came from two earlier trips. In the past when we were watching our pennies we always booked low cost to fairly unusual destinations as a tourist. One such trip was with Wizzair from Luton to Skopje, we both ended up getting fairly severe food poisoning half way through our trip. A few days later it was time to head home and people were queuing at the gate to grab unallocated seats together before the incoming flight had even landed. Another trip was an another Wizzair flight, leaving home about midnight, LTN at 03.00 arriving Bucharest about 8am or similar.

Our final straw was the day after our wedding. We did a DIY venue and arranged everything ourselves. The following morning, we had to pack everything up ourselves before leaving for Heathrow for our flight to Fiji in economy. The flight was LHR to HKG with a four hour layover, followed by a flight to SYD with another 4 hour layover before a 4 1/2 hr flight to Fiji. Taking into account the time difference it was a 48hr trip. That, together with the wedding completely draining us and its build up was the final straw! Gone business ever since!

That aside, I wonder how many people are like me who uses their Avios with a 241 voucher on a one way in business or first (but never has enough to do a return), and then pay for a one way business with any other carrier? Some routes are just astronomical so it can take a while to find a route that has avios outward availability and a cheapish business return?! Currently looking at KUL in October, pay a cash fair to Cambodia or Laos etc and return from there.
