I've read enough similar stories that this one is no surprise.
Having personally seen how TSA agents can steal with impunity, lie without consequence, and play the little tyrant with their supervisors' approval I think the only thing unusual about this story is that the victim is actually fighting back.
The only way TSA could surprise me now would be to publicly fire an employee for this sort of behavior, publicly apologize and request the prosecutor to file charges. Hell will have to get a lot colder before that will happen.
DHS/TSA has LEO components and it is DHS/TSA who should be filing charges against the TSA Supervisor.
