We would like to rent a car from DC to drive to Texas to sightsee along the way for 10 days. I have been to a number of car rental websites to get quotes and they were so expensive for one way rental. It is doubled the normal rental costs - total approx. $1,200. One-way rentals are generally very expensive, much more so than regular round-trip rentals.
