Just called to try and get my AF waived for my Arrival+, no luck. The guy on the line said they do not waive AF's and there is nothing he can do on his end. He said I could downgrade to a no fee card if I wanted to avoid paying.

You guys are just calling the number on the back of the card right? I remember a while back when I applied, there was some kinda "office of the president" type number but I can't remember why I called them nor what the number is
