Using Avios to UuA on AA

I keep switching between spending 100,000 Avios or to pay cash to fly in economy to the West Coast from Manchester, UK. Since using this site in the last few weeks I've learnt about the UuA but I don't want to spend the cash on a WT+ flight to be able to upgrade to CW.

Just a thought, could I ring BAEC and ask them to book my flights with AA in economy and I pay cash, but then do the UuA on those flights to business? I have done the AA to JFK and there are 6 seats that are classed as "premium economy" but in reality they are nothing more than exit seats, not a different cabin as on the BA flights.

If this isn't possible, I'm just going to use the 100,000 Avios to go economy even though I know in reality with all the taxes, all it means is one flight free and the other fully paid for. I also value the replies from you guys about it not being the best use, but having thought about it, I'm not going to be using these Avios for anything much in the foreseeable future apart from this.

Cheers
