Unfortunately, the new "M Club Lounge" concept we've seen rolled out to a few properties seems to imply that the future of North American lounges for Marriott may be to make sure they can monetize it, at least for the evenings, where they are really pushing for F&B purchases that are also available from the hotel bar.
