I lol'ed! On my flight back to Kuwait, unlike other airlines which have their own exclusive lounges for their premium customers (Gulf Air is one of these airlines) Kuwait Airways did not have its own exclusive lounge in Dubai. Furthermore, and to an embarrassment degree the lounge I was invited to was the
Marhaba lounge (which is also shared with Jazeera Airways, Saudi Arabian Airlines, and other airlines as well.) What is shameful here is that any one who wants to access this lounge can simply pay 175 AED (as I understood from the response which I received from them) and simply walk in, hence eliminating the exclusivity of the lounge and causing it to be crowded.
I remember few years ago, Kuwait Airways had its own exclusive lounge in Dubai airport (one for business, and one for first class passengers.) I have no idea what happened to these exclusive lounges for Kuwait Airways only, and why Kuwait Airways decided to shift to Marhaba lounge rather than having an agreement with Gulf Air lounge.
This is not what I expect when I'm a premium passenger who is flying a fully serviced (as opposed to low cost carrier) airline. Boarding was also a mess at the airport for Kuwait Airways. As a result of my bad experience from Dubai - Kuwait I am sticking with Emirates as my primary airline for long-haul flights for the time being
