I confirm. Same experience in my case. For my last trip in P, the whole inventory (P8) was on sale when I purchased the ticket. I selected seat 2A. Then a few weeks after, my booking was showing "seat not available". The seat map was showing the entire 1st row and only 2L. I called the P line and they couldn't do anything.

Once, a P line agent was able to restore my seat back, and it was overriden automatically by a new one a couple of hours later.
