I would counter with the fact that most P travelers do not make their own bookings and even when they do they do not make those bookings on the web. They might instead call the special P hotline where they will have no problems booking their preferred seat. Or they call their travel agent or corporate booker. I think people who book P on the web are of a very tiny number and it would also indicate they are sophisticated enough to sort out their seat one way or the other.
