Sales are not restricted.

Sorry to insist but I still do not buy or understand this method. You have 8 or 9 seats to sell (depending on 77W or A388). Your objective is (I hope) to sell the whole inventory. So what is the purpose of blocking the inventory at 5 instead of presenting the whole cabin for sale and for which you can control when you want the fare buckets availability ? Imagine the following situation : A388 with 9 seats, inventory limited at P5. You sell 3 tickets so your inventory becomes P2 (while there are in fact still 6 seats available in the plane but only 2 for sale at this specific moment). And somebody wants to buy 3 seats but as the inventory is only P2 at this moment (because AF sales people have not realized yet that they should unlock some seats), there will be a non-availability response for this flight.
Is it me who is missing something or what ?

Unfortunately, the P line cannot access those blocked seats

I confirm. Same experience in my case. For my last trip in P, the whole inventory (P8) was on sale when I purchased the ticket. I selected seat 2A. Then a few weeks after, my booking was showing "seat not available". The seat map was showing the entire 1st row and only 2L. I called the P line and they couldn't do anything.
