I think people who book P on the web are of a very tiny number and it would also indicate they are sophisticated enough to sort out their seat one way or the other.
Sorry but I have to disagree: I did call the P hotline and the rep could not have access to row 3 seat allocations on the A380.
I do find it odd, as others have mentioned, that the seat map is blocked to 5, when the capacity should be controlled by the fare buckets. And as I mentioned, the strangest thing is that more than 5 seats are available for sale (checked through KVS and tried a dummy booking on AF website for 6 pax) on the day I'm travelling. Though the seat map still shows only the first 2 rows available for seat selection. Hve no idea what happens if 6 people book tickets and if the seat map would then automatically open up again.

Not a huge deal, but I'd prefer to keep the seat I had initially selected in row 3 instead of being bumped to row 2 and having to check one month before flying, only to possibly find it has been booked by someone else. Doesn't seem like a very First class experience to me... (first world problems I know !).
