Called today saying I was thinking of canceling US Airways card that I opened July 2014 'cos I said I was thinking of opening Citi card as US Airways was going away. Was offered 2X on gas, groceries and utilities for 90 days. Note, I really wasn't going to cancel, just wanted to see what they'd offer and also see if I had anniversary bonus in 6 months. I still have 5 referrals promo (50k miles) yet to post.

After, the 2X offer he mentioned that I had another US Airways card (opened four weeks ago Jan 2015). Asked if I wanted to merge credit lines into one card. I said no 'cos one's personal and other's for biz. Said my 50K signup bonus on the 2nd card should post by statement closing around Feb 15th as I just paid the AF. Then he also offered 5,000 miles for $1,000 spending within 90 days on the barely 4 week old US Airways card. Sure, ok, I'll take that too.
