What are your thoughts on how discussion of AAdvantage cards might be reorganized to reduce confusion and duplication?
1. Should AAdvantage Executive cards still be discussed separately from AAdvantage Platinum, Gold and Business cards?
2. Should discussion of the AAdvantage card
offers still be commingled with discussion of the application
process ? Might it be better to have one thread discussing offers, and another dedicated to the application "rules"? (Similar to the thread:
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/chase...solidated.html)
3. Should the process of applying for AAdvantage cards still be discussed separately from other Citi cards (ThankYou, Hilton, Expedia).
To be clear we are seeking opinions supported by reasons and evidence. Posts which express a preference without an explanation will carry little weight.
I would very much like to see the discussions of a card and its benefits be seperate from discussions about how to churn the card (for all CCs, not just these ones)
The problem is that for some cards that are highly churnable (and the Exec is a good example of this) the churning talk completely drowns out any discussion of the benefits. Most of the people involved in the churning discussion don't care about the benefits because they just want to get the miles and cancel in time to get the AF refunded.
I think that the people who either have, or are considering getting the card, paying the annual fee, and enoying the benefits should have a thread to discuss these benefits and whether it's a worthwhile card to have.
