If you can book the connection, it's below MCT. Whether that's SCT (Sensible Connect Time) is a different issue. For that, look at Plan B. If you misconnect, what are the options? As it's EWR-ATL, there should be others and, space available, you will be on the next flight. Perhaps not in the primo seat you covet, but at least in ATL soon enough.

I don't see a downside to booking this.
