Question: I have IHG points that I could possibly convert (at 10,000 points for 2,000 miles). It says: "You can convert IHG Rewards Club Points earned by staying and eating at Intercontinental Hotels Group to miles."
My points are actually from credit card bonuses. I'm assuming it wouldn't matter how I got the points. Would anyone know if it matters, i.e. do the points actually have to be from hotel stays?
The source of the miles does not matter. Once they are in your account, they are all the same.
