I could understand the logic of capping at 5. As I said before, this can (is) done by capping availability. But is can be frustrating to a P pax who pays a lot of money to discover that he is only allowed to sit in the 5 preselected seats. For example, the 77W only opens the first row and one window seat on the second row. I strongly dislike the first row because of the galley noise and the vision on that curtain (and the galley beyond) that remains open during service. A couple cannot select the quiet second row and there is only one seat available. I guess that this has to do with an agreement with FA union for dinner service, but this is ridiculous as pax will have to fight for the quiet seats for sleeping. Totally stupid.
