Probably not an option for your trip, but I was very impressed with how British Airways assisted me on the Sunday before winter storm Juno. I was flying in from Doha, and about midway through the flight the flight attendant approached me, and said my flight had been canceled, and I had been booked on a much earlier United Airlines flight. They had taken care of me without any effort on my part. Had I wanted to stay in London I was also protected on Thursdays flight on BA. It was a very positive experience overall as I was able to get home earlier and still make preparations to be snowed in for a couple days.
