Also when checking in at an Australian airport, they'll sometimes ask for proof of travel to your home country. I flew out of Australia on Jan 30, TG SYD-BKK-FRA. Because I am a US resident, she wanted proof that I would continue EU-US. I showed her my trips.kayak.com itinerary on my phone which was sufficient (lucky I had that).
