For folks going to the MTR, the best option is to leave the hotel via the side entrance, and enter the subway at exit L1 (across the small road and to the right, away from Nathan Road).
Actually doing it that way results in a longer walk underground. If you cross over to the Pen side of Nathan road at the cross walk in front of the hotel and then walk towards the subway you can go in before you get to Peking road and the confusion.
