Those of us who are Caucasian are attacked by Indian hawkers constantly if we walk along the Sheraton side of Nathan road. They do not bother anyone except white men. I've come close to punching them at times because they are basically shouting out loud that we are morons because no one else would be stupid enough to buy their junk. And they do it repeatedly no matter how many times you try to push past them as you go back and forth to the MTR or 7/11, etc.
Gosh, and all this time I thought I was both a "Caucasian" and a "white"man.
To me that is a small aggravation to spend time in a city as wonderful as Hong Kong. I have actually come to find it fairly amusing because it reminds me where I am. In fact it doesn't bother me nearly as much as Shanghai were some of the touts will actually touch you.
