Let's see how the KUL-MAA turns out. Only 4hrs each way and on a 738 to boot, but hopefully it'll help make teh the night flight back a bit more bearable...
Did not get the KUL-MAA upgrade on Friday evening, S$125 offered. Was a full flight in Economy. Unfortunately forgot to check Business during the flight; it looked empty coming in, but that doesn't mean much.
However,
did get upgraded to an I fare (from O) on MAA-KUL today morning, also a S$125 bid. Flight was ~70% full, both in Economy and Business. Seat was nothing special (738 recliner), but usage of the lounge and supper on the plane was definitely a plus.
Funny thing though: I got an email suggesting an upping of my bid on the
MAA-KUL leg, but not for my unsuccessful bid on the KUL-MAA leg. Perhaps KUL-MAA was full after all and they didn't want to give me false hope?
