Yes, my BA MMB screen shows that the balance is zero and I had invoice emails from them for each payment.
I paid about £1,000 less for these flights + car than just the flights in October '14. I used Avios for the positioning flights (from NCL) and for a night in Dublin prior to the flight. Not a good use of avios in the past but I need to use them for something. This is an extra holiday so it was good to keep the actual cost down

We have our annual trip to Fl. coming up and I have to pay the BA hols balance off in a few days. The deposit is a great way to maintain some flexibility (especially for serial plan/work/holiday-changers like me

). Sadly I did not have the foresight to wait and book that particular trip in the ex-DUB sale (but have more than made up for it with the rest of the year!).
