Advice needed for ba AMEX payment on BA Holiday

I booked a BA holiday -flight + car hire and used my BA Amex card for an ititial deposit of 300 euros (flight is from Dub). The amount went straight onto my statement. Last Monday I paid another 1500 Euros but it isn't showing up on my statement. On Wednesday I paid the balance with a different BA Amex card and this is also not showing up on my account. I rang BA cc company and they told me that the payment is showing in their records but that BA have not applied for it. I rang BA Holidays and they said that this sometimes happens and that if it is not cleared soon, they will ring me to pay over the phone. They don't want to do it just yet in case I am charged twice. My balance on the holiday is due to tbe cleared by 8th February and I am getting a bit concerned although the person at BA Holidays did say that the holiday wouldn't be cancelled.
Has this happened to anyone else and does it sound OK or should I get back to BA Amex or BA Holidays?
