I just flew this route a year ago and had no complaints. Food was good, in flight service good and the seats were comfortable.
While the MH 738 may be fine for some, you're surely not suggesting that the OP makes a 2000 mile detour just for the pleasure of flying on it, when the alternative is flying in a flat-bed seat on a KE widebody most of the way to KTM. You also realise, I'm sure, that the entire routing on KE of NRT-ICN-KTM is shorter in distance (at 3252 mi) than MH's first leg of NRT-KUL alone (at 3357 mi).
