I wish I had thought to ask her if there were availability on CX, but I think that the DL/MU option was really the only one that would get me in with a reasonable delay.

The only complaint is that my luggage didn't make it and it's now stuck in airport limbo (no one seems to know where the bag is), but hopefully it will be located and I'll get it back soon.
Sorry to hear about your bags. If it were me, I would have never accepted the "first offer" of MU and demanded Cathay for the HKG segment!
