The only way I would consider buying a car from any rental company is if the price of the car was nearly for free.

I looked at their cars for sale to see the prices. I think that their prices are a little too steep (I looked at Infiniti and Cadillac only). I am certain that the paint looks like crap. I have never had a rental with 40k+ miles on it that didn't have scrapes all the way around the vehicle. Which doesn't bother me much on a rental, but it does bother me to pay the prices they have listed.
They would have to drop the prices by about 30% before I would consider buying. Because I'd have to get a new paint job. I don't want a luxury vehicle that looks like it's been through a category 4 hurricane.
As for spotty maintenance... that can and does also happen to any other used vehicles. Some people just don't maintain their vehicles. So as long as it sounds, rides and drives okay I wouldn't worry too much about that.
