is a United status that offers complimentary UC access, just a very exclusive status:
United Club membership is included in Chairman's Circle status.
The reason GS doesn't include UC membership is probably because many GS already purchase it on their own. UA knows what % of new GS invitees are already UC members; offering free UC membership to all GS members tells that % of GS members that are already UC members not to renew their UC memberships. So UA would essentially be leaving money on the table. If the % is high, and I suspect it is, UA is wise to do this.
