I am a fellow Colorado AA elite. AA has a really nice F product in a CRJ that flies nonstop DEN-LAX. The front row in Y is also excellent. If the weather looks good you might consider a drive up to DEN for those trips. Then you get to hang out in the AA lounge at DIA if you have access! Free drinks and some great food for a reasonable price. They have a USO lounge as well right next door.
