It sounds like something went wrong with your shower, as that's not how it usually works. There should be 5 minutes of actual water flowing, so you can even stop the flow part way through and the timer stops.
It was only about 2 mins of flowing water before it switched off indicating only 1 more minute of hot water. The flight attendant demonstrated how to turn the shower on and off beforehand but when i actually got in the shower the timer on the wall was already half way completed.
Never mind it was still very welcome
