As for the KE vs MH issue, the KE lounge is nicer, but I'd go for the cheaper flights. I flew KE to KTM in 2011, but it was nothing special in Biz.

I've always found MH pretty decent for in flight service.
I didn't claim that SQ serves the satay on every flight; in fact, they've been cutting back and IIRC making a distinction between dinner and supper depending on the time of day. Obviously one wouldn't expect satay on a short SQ flight (SIN-KUL in the extreme) or at breakfast time on SQ. I also wouldn't expect MH to serve satay on such flights.

However, what I was responding to was the statement in the post I quoted that MH is *unique* in serving satay. It isn't; MH isn't the only carrier that serves satay, as proved by the example of SQ also serving satay.
