This is quite a regular route for me and normally I love everything about that flight.

Totally ignoring the food and drink element to the op's point. I normally like an early dinner in Kowloon. Train out to the airport. Couple of drinks in the lounge. Couple of drinks on the plane and lights out to around Holland.

I really haven't had a bad crew on that flight. A couple of times I have come in and out with the same crew and met them out and about in LKF and wanchai. Certainly seems to be one of the places the crew like to go.

I know it is no use to the OP at this stage but I would try to ignore the situation and enjoy the flight.
