After receivership AC bought the 777's otherwise things would be very different today. So another bad decision on aircraft purchase was averted.

This was a done deal as I remember buying from Herpa Wings the Air Canada 1:500 model of the A340-500.

When my dad was working for Air Canada, they had both of the first two A340 AC bought from Brazilian Airline I think at the time. My then Girlfriend and I had the opportunity to tour these new planes and they were pretty impressive. Only wish we took pictures at the time, but this was 20 years ago.
