This is an issue not worthy of a complaint... I would be embarrassed to ask AA for compensation for this. More than likely they rolled their eyes when you complained.
Smell of wine making your baby sick... sorry not going to fly! There are far worse smells in life than spilled wine. Living in Silicon Valley the tech workers often reek... I'll save that for another forum.

The complaint is that at the beginning of our 9 hour flight, the flight attendant spilled large amount of wine next to me and it was stinking for almost the whole flight and my 4 mo baby started coughing and I brought my son to his pediatrician but he said he's fine. But he certainly looked sick for a while.
I talked with the AA rep at the airport and they told me that I have to file the complaint with their specific department. I believe it was a TX address if I'm not mistaking.
My question is what I should be asking for? Should I just tell them what happened and leave them to decide the compensation?
Final note is that this was an award flight with my Alaska Mileage plan miles. But the baby's ticket was with cash which was surprisingly high.
