Although the US Lounge in Terminal A might not be even close to the equivalent to the CCR, one thing that's nice about it is the great view over the gates, tarmac, and runway. If you turn to the left on entering and go to the back the view of the heavies is great and it's generally quite quiet. The soup is always good, although if you are in PHL and have the time, I suggest making your way to the B/C connector and having lunch or dinner at Legal Seafoods.

FYI--If you sit at the bar there are plentiful power strips mounted under the counter to charge laptops and phones while you drink or dine. I have more often than not forgone visiting the US Club in lieu of lunch/dinner and a charge at Legal. I've been known to book with a long connection through PHL for that reason alone.

It is a good walk from A West to C, (over half a mile!) but it's nice to stretch the legs and the food is worth it.
