I wouldn't necessarily want a lot of expensive luggage if I didn't have a good idea how I was planning to travel over the years. Also my needs have changed over the years (and I've changed over the years - I'm not a true minimalist now but I'm far more of one than I was 20 years ago). I'm also a bit of a luggage addict (without a good justification for being one, so....)

I love Tumi in the abstract but just can't seem to make myself buy one when it comes down to the final decisions - they lose out on weight, price, and these days, warranty. I have a couple B&R pieces I love, and have had lots of Eagle Creek over the years. Because of my leisure travel, and some of my business travel being a bit "off-road", I tend to favor adventure brands over business brands apparently....

Honestly, I'm not sure that luggage is what I'd be registering for as a wedding gift, but I'm odd that way. Good luck, enjoy your travels!
