I've been sharing the same feedback with any survey requests I get, noting that I understand it is not the property's fault but a poor corporate decision. I've consistently received an email back from the property's GM assuring me that they'll pass the feedback along to corp. I'm sure local management is equally frustrated having to deal with negative feedback that is out of their control.
Erin, thank you for filtering this message up through additional channels as well. I really hope your management team takes this feedback seriously, and doesn't underestimate how essential reliable wifi is for any business traveler. This isn't some trivial amenity, this is a basic requirement of modern day travel. It's like giving every room cold water, with the option for hot water (or even just luke warm) at an additional fee.
I, for one, am taking a hiatus from Hilton for February to focus on promos at other brands. If this policy is not reversed by the time I'm planning March travel, then I won't be considering Hilton properties again for paid stays until 2016. And by then, I'm pretty sure I'll have realigned my affinity entirely, which is a shame because I otherwise find the typical Hilton property to be convenient and comfortable.
