I used #3 because of recent data points from other posters indicating that my AA Exec would not be an issue and the fact that they had closed other AA CC's within the last 12 months. Also link #3 specifically called out the AA MC as the only previous AA CC that would get you denied while the other links were more vague. Take a little time and look through the posts from the beginning this year. A lot of useful info.
Thanks, I see you had the AA Platinum Visa previously. I had the AA Platinum MC (opened 10/30/13, then closed 11/18/14). With link #3, it sounds like I should wait 18 months from my MC opening date, which will be 6/30/15. The good news is that I can churn Execs while waiting
