While I understand why
MoreMilesPlease may think that the above one-line post from
kwikemarket06 is some kind of Cruiseplum-driven ad, I can guarantee that it had nothing to do with us.
Internet advertising methods have caused many of us to set our shill-o-meters to 11 (especially me!) and have made us more skeptical than we would otherwise be (certainly not without justification!). So, while I can't think of a way to prove that we're not connected, if you'll bear with me for a moment, let's consider two different methods of attracting visitors to a website:
1. A post with a general one-line compliment from a new poster when others have already provided detailed positives and negatives in the thread.
2. A post from a site representative listing recent feature additions/improvements since our last Flyertalk update about a month ago in this thread, most notably:
- slice-and-dice search now supports multiple vessels at once
- added Holland America cruises
- improved "hot deal" finding algorithms
- faster search setup times
- added Twitter feed of today's best price drop deals
I leave it to the readers to decide which of these two methods would be more effective at attracting genuine interest from a travel-savvy audience.
kwikemarket06, thank you for your kind words.
