Packing for a honeymoon should be simple - bathing suit and a toothbrush. That should fit into most any bag.
As far as other travel is concerned, I look at warranty and how I pack.
I've had so many bags mangled by airlines or just plain wear out that I really look at warranty closely. If you like wheeled luggage, then Briggs & Riley is one of the (very) few with a lifetime, no questions asked, we'll fix it no matter what broke it, warranty. RedOxx is the same with non-wheeled luggage.
Tumi used to have a no questions asked warranty but no more. I've used both the RedOxx and the B&R warranties and it is dead simple - for B&R, find a repair shop and they'll fix it and for RedOxx, just send it back and they'll fix or replace it. I recently had my RedOxx come off a military plane in Afghanistan with a one inch tear in the bottom. A bit of duct tape kept me going and I sent it back to RedOxx a few months later. I'd had the bag a few years and it was starting to look a bit dirty and the paint had chipped from some of the zipper pulls. The same day I got the receipt confirmation from RedOxx, I also got a shipping confirmation of a new bag, that arrived a few days later.
Sizing and type
That depends on the type of travel you will be doing and the general dress code. I'm a fan of minimalistic packing and - with a bit of thought - can get a one week trip to different places in a bag I sling over my shoulder. That works fine if you don't see the same people daily and can get by with one suit or sportcoat, mixing and matching pants, shirts and ties. Guys can also live with one pair of shoes. For bags that won't get exposed to handling beyond my control, my absolute favorite is Tom Bihn. I can pack a week's worth of stuff in my TriStar, then take it to the office on the last day and not look or feel like you are dragging luggage around.
However, if you need more stuff, then you might want to look at B&R and their wheeled luggage. Organization is good, I've never had a wheel come off and you can pack a lot into them because the handle is outside.
Regardless of what you pick, remember that sizing for international carry-ons is different from US carriers so get bags sized appropriately.
