Yea, they all apply differently to different people. I'm more focused on redeemable miles because I'll never fly enough to earn status on miles, just segments. The other deciding factor to stay with AP is the credit card earning, UA doesn't offer one for Canadians so I was SOL there.

More than a few of the conversations I was having on the UA board had people who were pretty sure they wouldn't be cut much if at all. Now maybe that was before Copa, but even before they should've known, it just makes no sense for UA to keep the partners where they were.
